Several NWACC student-athletes were honored April 23 at an NWACC Athletics Celebration Banquet.
Two students were recognized as All-Americans. An NJCAA Academic All-American is based on athletic performance, and to receive the designation, students must finish in the top 15% nationally. Those recognized were:
- Judy Kipruto – Cross Country, 25th in the Nation
- Jan Aguilar – Cross Country, 20th in the Nation
Five students were recognized as NJCAA Academic All-Americans. An NJCAA Academic All-American designation is based on academic performance, and to qualify, students must maintain a minimum 3.6 GPA. Those receiving the honor were:
- Angel Cordero – Cross Country, Track & Field
- Gloria Fuller – Cross Country
- Marian Hendricks – Cross Country, Track & Field
- Maria Hurtado – Cross Country
- Kriz Perez – Cross Country
