The month of September is a special time in the state of Arkansas. It is the transition month between the sweltering heat of summer, and the cool temperatures of fall, making it perfect for all outdoor activities. When we get to September we know we are in the fourth quarter of another year, and even though the end is near, the best is yet to come: the beginning of another football season, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner. September is also the first month of Arkansas's deer hunting season.
Bumper-to-bumper traffic is always frustrating, especially in a high volume area containing a college with thousands of students. For years, the widening of Water Tower Road has been in the making with ideas to make the roads safer and to relieve traffic congestion. McClelland Consulting Engineers haven drawn up the road construction plans and the designs were completed Aug. 31.
